Alexis specializes in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image issues, perfectionism, disordered eating, and trauma. Alexis also has strong clinical interests in life transitions, identity, and increasing self-compassion and kindness within the self.
Because it is essential to meet people where they are at in the process, Alexis is flexible in her therapeutic approaches and is able to adjust her style and interventions for each and every person. Alexis pulls from evidenced-based modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and views the client as the expert on their life and experiences.
Alexis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Towson University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. She has 7 years of experience treating eating disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and other co-occurring issues in various treatment centers and levels of care.
