Annie has a background in treating Autism, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression, as well as addressing behavioral challenges, grief and trauma. Emphasis is placed on helping clients develop an awareness of unhealthy patterns and beliefs, enhancing self esteem and self advocacy, improving emotional regulation, and fostering healthy interpersonal dynamics and personal accountability.
Annie aims to put clients at ease by bringing humor, fun, and a light and natural energy to her therapeutic style. Though sessions are largely rooted in traditional therapeutic foundations such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducation, Annie also sees merit in introducing creative techniques when appropriate; these include mindfulness strategies as well as writing, art and play based interventions. Annie strongly believes in meeting clients where they are and adapting the therapeutic plan in order to create fresh, meaningful opportunities for change and self reflection.
