Dylan is a LGPC under the supervision of Jennifer Valenta, LCSW-C.
Dylan believes that therapy is a collaborative journey, one where both client and therapist work together to navigate challenges and create a life aligned with personal values. Central to his approach is the belief that therapy should be a space where individuals feel safe, affirmed, and fully accepted. Dylan strives to foster a non-judgmental, open environment where clients can show up as their authentic selves. He views the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing, growth, and self-discovery, and he walks alongside his clients with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Dylan utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing heavily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and somatic practices. His integrative style provides clients with the space to lead the way, offering flexibility and care tailored to meet their unique needs. Dylan has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. He has a particular interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and the older adult population. His clinical experience includes helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity-related concerns, and overall stress management. Dylan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gettysburg College and his Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Outside the therapy room, he enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking and baking, and tending to his garden. Email: [email protected] Phone: (443) 574-4671 https://doxy.me/welcomewithdylan |
