Elli is a LCSW-C (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), who is often described by others as being warm, empathetic and genuine. Elli strives to create meaningful connections with each of her clients, as she believes the therapeutic relationship is key to foster growth and healing.
Elli has experience working as a therapist in an outpatient community mental health clinic and as a school-based therapist in Carroll County. Elli enjoys working with individuals of all ages, but specializes in working with children and adolescents who are facing adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self esteem, ADHD, peer related concerns and more.
Elli strives to help her clients develop a toolbox of strategies and skills so they can be set up for success moving forward. Understanding that children often communicate through play, Elli incorporates creative modalities such as art and play therapy into her sessions. Elli tailors techniques specifically to her clients needs, but primarily utilizes a person-centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Elli received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Services and her Master of Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Elli is in the office Monday - Thursday and has after-school / evening appointments available.
