Hanna Murchake is a licensed clinical professional counselor who believes that healing starts with connection. With a warm, collaborative approach, Hanna works to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McDaniel College and a Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Hood College. Her work is rooted in an existential perspective, supporting clients as they explore life’s deeper questions while also addressing everyday challenges like anxiety, emotional stress, and self-doubt. Hanna is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through an EMDRIA-approved provider and is currently working toward full certification. Additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolescents, and Sandtray Therapy allows for a flexible and individualized approach to treatment. Her clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including inpatient treatment, school-based counseling, in-home therapy, and private practice. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. Hanna welcomes clients ages 5 and up and is open to working with people from all backgrounds. She is also a Board-Approved Supervisor in the state of Maryland and is passionate about guiding early-career counselors as they grow professionally. Outside of work, Hanna enjoys practicing self-care through crafting, being active outdoors, and reading.
