Jenna is a state and nationally licensed art therapist (LCPAT, ATR-BC) who has been practicing in the field for over 6 years.
Jenna received her Bachelor of Arts in both art and psychology at Dickinson College. Jenna decided to advance her education by acquiring her Master of Science in Creative Arts Therapy with a specialization in art therapy from Nazareth College, located in Rochester, New York. Jenna believes in delivering compassionate care and has experience serving individuals across the life span (children, adolescents, and adults). Jenna’s clinical philosophy is rooted in instilling in the client the expert role in their life, with the therapist helping them pave the way towards a healthier lifestyle. Exploration through creative avenues encourages self-reflection, facilitating further development of your life lens. Art therapy is an integrative mental health profession that incorporates art-making into the therapeutic journey. Additionally, it is about making art accessible by having clients experiment with a variety of creative processes; if they are making connections, you’re contributing to them having positive associations with creativity. Jenna aspires to foster a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere for clients to embrace and develop a greater understanding of their authentic selves. They are encouraged to practice creative decision-making and will be reinforced that there is no right or wrong. |
