Julia is genuinely empathetic with an understanding of individuals with various backgrounds. Julia understands that adolescents and young adults want to thrive rather than survive in this crazy thing called life. She is an adult adoptee, a supporter of the LGBTQ community, and has the innate ability to connect with people.
Julia attended Towson State University for her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling, at Trinity Washington University. Julia completed her clinical internship, at an adoption agency, focusing on trauma and attachment. She worked with adoptees and foster care youth in clinical settings. The training and clinical experience working in family, group, and individual settings has made Julia become a competent therapist. Julia also comes with experience working with kids and adolescents with physical and developmental disabilities in school and private organizations.
Julia continues to strive to become a well rounded and knowledgeable clinical therapist, who believes that everyone has their own unique story and that we all want to be a better version of ourselves. The journey begins with trust and a safe environment.
Julia is located in the Columbia and Sykesville office locations.
