Kathy holds a Master's in Education in School Counseling and Counseling Psychology, is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, completing her 15th year as school counselor. She has worked at both the elementary level and in specialized school programs for students with mental health complexities, focusing on achieving academic and personal success. In addition, Kathy has over 25 years of experience as a counselor in a variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient; working with young people and adults challenged by mood imbalance, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and prevention, learning and perceptual uniqueness, and balancing life stressors.
Kathy's training includes social work and family systems, addictive disease and prevention, school counseling, experiential learning, program development, and mind/body wellness with a focus on creative therapies. Kathy is passionate about engaging children, young people and adults in understanding and empowering their authentic self, enhancing resilience, motivation for change and engaging the whole person in strength-based healing. She has two children, two golden retrievers: loves being in nature and doing anything creative, integrating music, art, and drama in collaborative experiences.
