Katlyn (she/her) is an LGPC working under the supervision of Jessica Ryan, LCSW-C.
Katlyn earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University in Interdisciplinary Studies with an initial interest in animal rescue and conservation. In 2016 Katlyn opted to further her education and compassion for helping others and earned a Master’s of Science in Professional Counseling from McDaniel College. Katlyn brings a unique 6-year background of working in community mental health in an assortment of different settings with a diverse adolescent and adult population including, but not limited to, crisis de-escalation, homeless outreach, case-work, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, couples counseling, family therapy, psychosis, and substance abuse. With a special interest in trauma treatment and spiritual wellness, Katlyn uses a personalized blend of person-centered care, DBT, CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-informed care, and existential care. Her clients would describe her as open, warm, calm, authentic, relatable, funny, reliable, safe, and engaged. As a provider, she offers a soothing and creative/dynamic therapeutic experience and uses a process of integrating her clients’ personal passions, goals, experiences, and interests to help motivate them to write or re-write their own stories. Katlyn is excited to help her clients on their journey to find what they want most out of life and guide them with tools to assist them in breaking unhealthy patterns of behavior for a more fulfilling life.
