Molly is a Counseling Intern under the supervision of Jennifer Valenta, LCSW-C. Molly (she/her/hers) is joining ACC as an intern while she pursues her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Hood College. While pursuing her master’s, Molly has obtained her certification in Thanatology, the study of death and loss, from Hood College. Molly hopes to put this certification to good use in helping clients as they work through losses they are experiencing in their life. Molly received her bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Services. While Molly highly regards the knowledge she has gained through her academic career thus far, she is eager to gain real-world experience and further her ability to effectively counsel others. Molly wants to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is collaborative, person-centered, and non-judgmental with her clients. Molly is continuously striving to strengthen her skills in cultural competency and hopes to provide a safe affirming space for her clients. Molly has a deep interest in working with clients who are experiencing grief across the lifespan and navigating difficult life transitions. Molly practices self-care through cooking exciting new recipes, spending quality time with her family near and far, watching reality TV shows, and going for hikes!
