Molly (she/her/hers) is a LGPC working under the supervision of Jennifer Valenta, LCSW-C.
Molly received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College. She received a certification in Thanatology, the study of death and dying, from Hood College. Molly has experience working in community mental health and private practice settings. She enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and couples. As a counselor, Molly creates a therapeutic atmosphere that is collaborative, person-centered, and non-judgmental with her clients. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential in cultivating personal growth. Her therapeutic practice is based in Existential-Humanistic theory and pulls techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Emotion-Focused theories. Molly is passionate about working with clients who are experiencing grief across the lifespan, trauma, navigating difficult life transitions, and interpersonal relationship issues.
