Nicole is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor working under the supervision of Whitney Thompson, LCPC and Elizabeth Higdon, LCSW-C.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Salisbury University, and obtained a Master’s degree in School Counseling and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
As a counselor, Nicole focuses on her clients as whole people. Her goal is to empower her clients to be healthy in every aspect of their lives, and emphasizes areas such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, goal-setting, and overall health.
Nicole incorporates tools such as mindfulness and meditation training into therapy in order to form a holistic approach, aiming to empower and motivate clients to take charge of their own thoughts and emotions. She believes that therapeutic collaboration is essential, and works with her clients to help them cultivate self-compassion, understanding, and new ways of approaching thoughts and feelings.
Nicole is in the Sykesville office on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings, and Saturday.
