Rebecca is an LGPC under the supervision of Whitney Thompson. Her empathy and sensitivity allow her to help clients learn, grow, and cope, all while still being in control of their own decisions. Rebecca has a Master of Education degree in School Counseling, which lends her the unique experience of working with children of all ages, as well as with various agencies throughout the community.
Rebecca is also trained in working with clients who are struggling with behavioral issues or chemical addictions. She has worked with clients in prevention, maintenance, relapse, and remission. Rebecca has completed the Smart Recovery Facilitator Training and Strengthening Families, which targets children of addicts and teaches them coping skills and preventative measures. She offers a non-judgmental space where clients can ask questions, share feelings, and find comfort in their authentic lives.
From Maryland, Rebecca attended Frostburg State University for her master’s degree and recently completed her licensing credentials as a therapist in clinical psychology. Rebecca enjoys reading and attending trainings as a way to enhance her skills and create new goals.
