Ryan Rosenthal is under the supervision of Elizabeth Higdon, LCSW-C.
Ryan prides himself on providing best practice for all individuals and believes wholeheartedly in the therapeutic process as a modality that leads to a better quality of life. He provides a safe, comfortable counseling setting through the fostering of a strong professional relationship with each client. This is achieved through an empathetic, uplifting environment that allows for full exploration of presenting challenges and open communication. Ryan strives to fulfill his purpose of assisting anyone in need to the fullest extent by utilizing a number of therapeutic frameworks and associated techniques. This includes, but is not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), Gestalt therapy, and Adlerian therapy, along with a strengths-based approach that offers individualized positive psychotherapy for each client. Ryan’s focus areas when practicing include obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and stress mitigation. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Hood College and his Master of Science in Counseling at McDaniel College, where he gained experience counseling middle and high school-aged adolescents from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns. He looks forward to working with individuals across all age groups and demographics at Anchor Counseling Centers. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family, friends, and two cats. He is passionate about exercising, loves watching sports, with football and basketball being his favorites, and enjoys movies of many different genres.
