Samantha is a LGPAT (Licensed Graduate Art Therapist) working under the supervision of Khadijah Javaid, LCPC.
Samantha (she/her) is a visual artist living in Baltimore while working at the Columbia and Eldersburg offices. She earned her MA in Art Therapy from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2021 and two BS degrees in Art Education and Art & Design from Towson University in 2016.
Samantha has clinical experience with adults and children in bereavement care and pediatric oncology/hematology care. Her passion for Art Therapy was discovered while working with children as an Art Educator. While discovering her newfound passion, she co-developed award-winning curriculums in expressive arts therapies for children’s behavioral groups used in Harford County Public Schools.
Using the unique specialty of Art Therapy, Samantha provides arts-based assessments for client reflection and integrative, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches. These approaches are unique to each individual and provides unconditional positive regard to facilitate a safe environment with opportunities for growth. Samantha’s creative practice reflects a focus on reworking the self through challenges of child development, chronic illness, grief, and loss.
