Authentic connection is key to healing. As a therapist, Suzie does this through person-centered counseling, with a focus on building positive relationships with her clients. Suzie has a unique way of making her clients feel understood, connected, and comfortable. She hopes to partner with each of her clients on their journey to becoming the best, and healthiest versions of themselves that they can be.
Life is full of trials and circumstances that impact how we perceive ourselves and others. Suzie enjoys working with adults who need support as they walk through grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. One of her passions is supporting people through nutrition, alternative, holistic, mindful practices, and healthy lifestyle changes. Suzie is also able to tailor therapy from a faith-based approach if a client wishes.
As a former middle school counselor for Carroll County Public Schools, Suzie recognizes that adolescence is a tumultuous time of change in the life of a student, and she is able to connect and come alongside students to support, challenge, and process. Suzie has experience counseling students of all ages struggling with grief and loss, family issues, anxiety, depression, peer relations, self-injury, and life changes. Suzie is also able to assist students and their parents as they work with the school to create accommodations to support learning for ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and other learning issues.
