Valerie welcomes you into a safe environment for self-expression and exploration, placing emphasis on growth and learning. She recognizes therapy it not a “one size fits all” process and therefore each client will be honored in their unique experience. Valerie will meet each client where they are in their journey. She will work to create a therapeutic alliance that is non-judgmental, open and honest.

Valerie utilized a creative and eclectic approach, incorporating mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, person-centered approaches to help address presenting concerns. She will help support her clients in building their therapeutic tool kit, building on skills that may already be present or exploring new skills and techniques to support the individual on their life journey.

Valerie received both her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work from Salisbury University. She is currently working towards receiving her clinical license in Social Work. She has experience working as a therapist in an outpatient community mental health setting, including school-based therapy, working with children, teens and young adults. She has interest and experience supporting clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, day to day life stressors, navigating life transitions as well as working on self-esteem and self-love.
