David Adashek (He/Him/His) is an LGPC working under the supervision of Elizabeth Higdon, LCSW-C.
David is a queer, neurodivergent Jewish dude who wants to do nothing more than leave the world a better place than when he came into it. David believes in a humanistic approach to therapy, which means that much of what you focus on in the therapy room is what you find to be personally affecting you. He has training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy, amongst others, which he uses to build a framework in order to help set goals, but ultimately the approach used will be based on what you vibe the most with. David works both with individuals and couples. David is passionate about working within the LGBTQIA+ community, which he has spent the majority of his post-schooling career working with. He also works with those who identify with the polyamorous/Ethically Non-Monogamous, and the kink communities. David graduated from Loyola University of Maryland in Baltimore with a Master’s in Clinical Professional Counseling. Previously, he has worked at both the Eating Recover Center, and Reclaim and Rise, an LGBTQIA+ focused counseling center. Outside of being a counselor, David is often found rock climbing, swing dancing, nerding out about video games, playing board games, making memes, watching anime, or cooking.
