Mackenzie (Kenzie) is a LGPC under the supervision of Jennifer Valenta, LCSW-C.
Kenzie creates a warm, playful, and affirming space where adolescents and adults can explore and grow. With experience in crisis counseling and private practice, she has supported diverse individuals facing life challenges. Kenzie specializes in guiding clients through life transitions, religious trauma, neurodivergence, and queer-related issues. Embracing an integrative approach, she combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered, and Trauma-Focused modalities. Recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, Kenzie is dedicated to tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. Witnessing clients achieve personal growth and reach their goals brings her immense joy. As an openly queer clinician, Kenzie is deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community in Maryland. Additionally, she is a kink and poly-affirming therapist, adept at providing support and crafting gender affirmation surgery letters. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Kenzie ventured to Baltimore to play Division 1 Volleyball at Loyola University Maryland. Over the past seven years, she completed her Bachelor's in Psychology with minors in Gender and Sexuality Studies and Latin American and Latino Studies. Continuing her education at Loyola, Kenzie earned her Master's in Clinical Professional Counseling while also teaching stress management courses at the undergraduate level.
