Hanna received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McDaniel College and her Master’s in Counseling with a Specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Hood College.
As a counselor, Hanna’s approach is rooted in Existential theory while also incorporating techniques from a multitude of other theories including Mindfulness and CBT. She believes nothing is more important than the therapeutic alliance though and strives to create an environment to help her clients feel welcome. Hanna primarily has experience working within inpatient settings with both children and adults. She has worked with a wide variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance use, Bipolar, and psychotic disorders. She understands the uniqueness that comes with the treatment of chronic mental illness as well as the impact of mental health on different members in the family system. Hanna also understands that mental health is on a spectrum and believes that therapy should be a part of everyone’s wellness routine.
