Jessica is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) working under the supervision of Allison McQuaid, LCPC.
Jessica is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families improve communication, strengthen connections (with self and others), heal from past traumas, and learn new and healthier ways of being by utilizing an integrative approach to counseling that includes cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, strength-based, internal-family systems, attachment, and psychodynamic approaches. She also has experience helping those impacted by substance use and addiction and is also interested in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Jessica also spent 12 years working in Higher Education as an Enrollment Counselor. Her role as an Enrollment Counselor provided her experience in helping adults identify professional goals, choose the best educational path that would allow them to achieve their desired career goals, identify obstacles to reaching these goals, and discuss ways to overcome such obstacles. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a specialization in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Walden University.
