Emaline is a first-generation college student raised in a small-town community. Emaline received her Associate's degree from Frederick Community College, majoring in Psychology. She received her Bachelor's degree from Salisbury University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Currently, she is a graduate student attending Hood College’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's degree program and Thanatology certificate program. As a Health Resources and Services Administration scholarship recipient for Clinical Mental Health (HRSA-CMH), Emaline maintains an interest in working alongside marginalized, underserved communities. Emaline's ultimate career goal is to work alongside the military population and their loved ones as they experience transitions between the warfront and civilian life and the resulting impacts of such. Throughout her higher education, she has immersed herself in a variety of opportunities that have allowed her to fine-tune her interpersonal skills, further her understanding of diverse alternative perspectives, and create connections between said perspectives that enable her to adapt to various situations. She primarily operates from a growth mindset to focus on improving herself and enhancing rapport with others.
